Back to Basics: KORE Retrofit Commitment to Safety During CIF Construction Safety Campaign
Over the past two weeks, KORE Retrofit proudly participated in the Construction Industry Federation (CIF) Construction Safety Campaign, joining companies across Ireland in getting “Back to Basics” with workplace safety.
The campaign encouraged all teams to revisit the essentials of health, safety, and wellbeing ensuring safe practices remain a daily priority on every site. Across KORE Retrofit, the message was clear: safety underpins quality, professionalism, and trust in everything we deliver.
Ian Armitage led five toolbox talks with our valued contractors, creating open discussions around risk awareness, safe work practices, and continuous improvement. Staff also took part in a “Pledge Your Safety” initiative, reinforcing individual responsibility and team accountability.
In addition to on-site engagement, two members of our maintenance team attended the Electrical Safety Seminar in Dublin, approved by Engineers Ireland for six CPD hours. The seminar covered critical topics such as safe working practices, lockout tagout procedures, and arc flash protection ensuring KORE continues to align with industry best practice.
To support Spinal Injuries Ireland, our team also hosted two coffee and breakfast mornings, promoting wellbeing while raising funds for an important cause. We wrapped up the campaign with a PPE Challenge, a light-hearted but meaningful reminder that the right equipment and preparation make all the difference on-site.
At KORE Retrofit, safety is fundamental to every project we deliver. This campaign was a valuable opportunity to strengthen communication, celebrate best practice, and reinforce our commitment to continuous improvement across all retrofit works.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and to CIF Ireland for leading this initiative that keeps safety front and centre within our industry.
